Engaged employees speak highly of the company, are proud to tell others that they are part of the company, feel inspired, keep abreast of new developments in their area, make suggestions for improvement and volunteer to do things outside of their jobs. Blessing white’s Employee Engagement Report of 2011, indicates that engaged employees plan to stay for what they give; disengaged employees stay for what they get. In his results, 31% of employees were engaged, 17% were disengaged and the remainder were neutral. |

Eva Macurova (45) started her International Action Learning MBA in the Czech Republic in April 2009. She finished her studies exactly three years later. Eva is amongst one of the BSN students who officially graduated last September. She started her MBA at the same time as her husband, who already graduated in November 2011.

On the 21st of December 2011 Joke Plass’ MBA journey came to an end with the defense of her Dissertation ‘Successful decline ’. Despite her ambition and effort to stand on the stairs of the Kurhaus in September 2011, she respected the advice of her internal examiner - take your time instead of rushing through the final pages. This was a smart move since she received a Cum Laude distinction for her work regarding the declining number of pupils in secondary education in September 2012. Hence, BSN felt that it was time for an interview.

On the 31st of August rumours were flying through the building of Business School Netherlands that a very special student would indeed graduate: Ardjan Noorland. Mr. Noorland is a Director at Deloitte, by his own account he is also a bibliographer and an avid collector of literature. Apparently such an avid collector, that he persuaded the Dutch writer, Maarten ‘t Hart, to take the role of External Examiner during the defence of his Dissertation, which is called “’The end’ or ‘To be continued’?-, Strategic options for publishers of literature in the digital era.” If this hadn’t raised enough attention already, his Dissertation subsequently received a “Cum Laude” distinction. So we thought it was time for an interview.

On October the 8th, the winners of Business Event West Betuwe were announced in the theatre of Tiel. This special event offered regional entrepreneurs - varying from small to large companies, from start-ups till established businesses, and as well import and export - a platform to network and establish their vision.
