Prof. Wouter van der Woerd 

Mr. Van der Woerd received a bachelors degree in teaching from the Hogeschool Groningen. After working for several years as teacher in secondary education, he joined Vroom & Dreesman Nederland. Between 1987 and 1991 he grew from training manager to head of a national quality programme for 11.000 employees.

In 1992 Mr. van der Woerd became Head of the Personnel Division of Maxis BV and later director of the personnel division of SHV Distribution Netherlands (in total 6000 employees), both subsidiaries of SHV Makro N.V.

In 1996 he left SHV Makro for KLM Catering Services. As head of Personnel and Organisation he initiated the change process from KLM to KCS and led such processes as developing the company culture, introducing flexible work contracts, removing unnecessary management levels and preparing sales and alliances at an international level.

Mr. van der Woerd joined Mandev Benelux as managing partner in 1998. He spent 10 years at this consultancy specialised in translating strategy to behaviour. This year he returned to SHV as Director of Corporate Human Resources.
