Director and Dean
Its over 15 years that I am working as Dean and Director at Business School Netherlands. Yes, 15 years, but it has never been boring. On the contrary. Business School Netherlands grew from a small MBA-provider in the Netherlands to where we are now, being the biggest MBA provider in the Netherlands. And we deliver MBA programmes in six other countries as well.
Started in 1988 without any accreditation or validation at all, and now being appointed by the Dutch Government as a University of applied sciences, and fully accredited within the Dutch educational system (NVAO) and still so very different compared to the classical Universities within this system. With MBA programmes that are ranked no. 1 for six years for content (Intermediair MBA ranking 2002, 2004, 2006). In this ranking we are surrounded by the most prestigious Universities of The Netherlands and Belgium. This, for me, is my challenges: offering MBA’s of very high standard, but different, with real value for real managers and their organisations. Today, tomorrow, but also after 5 or 10 years. In the Netherlands, and also far beyond our borders.
Working at Business School Netherlands will never be boring: management competences will change, accreditation criteria are on the move, internationalisation for us is just beginning and the world economy is changing. The center of the economy, the United States of America and Europe will turn to countries like Russia, India, China and Brazil. So, never a dull moment.
