Kigali Institute of Management (KIM) was established in 2005 as an offshoot of the International College of Accountancy and Management (ICAM) which was founded in 2003. The establishment of KIM is a direct response to the need for highly qualified multi-skilled professionals in the field of business, management and information technology in Rwanda particularly and the East African Community in general. Training and developing a competent indigenous workforce is important for the future. KIM aims to be a premier University. Providing education regionally and also catering for the rest of Africa.
 
Organisational change and transformation in times of turbulence and uncertainty is challenging. We believe that the best way to survive change is to initiate it. Powered by this belief we engage in a relentless endeavour towards continuous improvement.
 
KIM's Vision 
Our vision is to emerge as a top-ranking management school in the world by providing excellent management education. We aim to achieve global recognition as a leading player in the field of management education. We are currently in the process of expanding our undergraduate programme options. Additionally, we are starting with cutting-edge Postgraduate and Masters Degree programmes. Professional and academic courses are offered both full time and part time in collaboration with the acclaimed Business School Netherlands. We intend to provide a world class Management Education with a Rwandan touch.
 
Action Learning 
Action Learning is learning together. Small groups of students work closely together on projects. Within the social structure of these groups learning takes place. Action Learning means you apply knowledge and business theories to actual business issues. It is learning by doing.
